Outdoor Laptop: Mobile and robust
Whether in the forest, on the water or on the construction site: working with a tablet and laptop is more efficient and organised. A wide range of processes can be handled digitally with the right apps and software: Documentation, plans, calculations or measurements,...
However, the requirements for outdoor use are completely different to those in the office, which regular devices cannot withstand.
An outdoor laptop or an outdoor tablet is required for outdoor use, which cannot be damaged by cold, heat, dust and splash water. Sawdust, high humidity and mud must not cause any real damage either. The device must also be able to withstand falls from a working height of 0.9 to 1.8 metres, but should not be too heavy to be easily transported.
As there are usually no practical power sockets nearby for outdoor use, the device's battery has to last a very long time even when used continuously.
As normal laptops and tablets are difficult to read in direct sunlight, a display that can be read in sunlight is also an advantage. Our outdoor notebooks and tablets have these extra bright displays as an option.

Outdoor Tablet: Tested durability
For outdoor use, we recommend an outdoor laptop or an outdoor tablet with a protection class of at least IP65. This protection class indicates that the device has complete protection against contact, that dust cannot penetrate and that water jets (nozzles) from any angle will not cause any damage.
Furthermore, every outdoor laptop and outdoor tablet is tested according to military standards (MIL-STD-810) for various extreme environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures of -20°C and 60°C, drops on all corners and edges, vibration, extreme heights, high humidity and many more.
All our outdoor devices have a robust aluminium-magnesium alloy housing to protect them against drops and impacts. They start without any problems at temperatures below 0°C and run reliably even in heat and sun at 40°C or more. As an option, we can install an IP65 (1000 nits) so that you can continue working even in direct sunlight.
Outdoor Laptop: As strong on the inside as on the outside
An outdoor laptop or an outdoor tablet must not only withstand extreme external influences, but also fulfil all technical requirements. This includes powerful processors and batteries and a large working memory.
The battery life of our devices is at least 8 hours for an entire working day. Depending on requirements, we also have devices with a battery life of up to 16 hours.
Our laptops and tablets have an optional LTE/GPS module, which means that all cloud documents are always at hand, even when you're on the move. Surfing the internet, writing emails and navigating to the site is no problem.
Data transfer options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB-A and USB-C connections, as well as an RS232 for some control units, are of course available.

With the optional LTE/GPS module, all outdoor devices can access the Internet and call up location data anytime and anywhere.

In accordance with IP65 and MIL-STD-810, our outdoor devices are proven to be protected against rain, moisture, extreme temperatures, falls, shocks, dust, dirt and water jets. Even during forestry work or on the construction site, the outdoor laptop may get dirty but remains ready for use.
