III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, there are no legal retention obligations to prevent deletion of the data, and no other information on individual processing procedures is provided below.

Server Data

For technical reasons, especially to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us or to our web hosting provider by your internet browser. These so-called server log files include the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of each access, and the IP address of the internet connection used to access our website.

This data collected is stored temporarily, but not together with other data about you.

This storage is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving, stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data will be deleted after seven days at the latest, unless further storage is required for evidential purposes. Otherwise, the data will be partially or completely excluded from deletion until the incident is finally clarified.

Cookies

a) Session-Cookies

We use so-called cookies with our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information about you, such as your browser or location data, or your IP address, is processed to a specific extent.

Through this processing, our website becomes more user-friendly, effective, and secure, as it enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, provided that these cookies process data for the purpose of contract initiation or contract execution.

If the processing does not serve the purpose of contract initiation or contract execution, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-Party Cookies

If applicable, our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we collaborate for advertising, analysis, or the functionality of our website.

For details on this, especially regarding the purposes and legal basis for the processing of such third-party cookies, please refer to the following information.

c) Removal Options

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. You can also delete already stored cookies at any time. However, the necessary steps and measures for this depend on the specific internet browser you use. For questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. Processing of so-called Flash cookies cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player accordingly. The necessary steps and measures for this also depend on the specific Flash player you use. For questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may, however, result in not all functions of our website being fully available for use.

Contract Processing

The data transmitted by you for the purpose of using our goods and/or services offer will be processed by us for contract processing and is required in this respect. Contract conclusion and contract processing are not possible without providing your data.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

We delete the data with complete contract processing, but must observe the tax and commercial retention periods.

As part of the contract processing, we pass on your data to the transport company or financial service provider commissioned with the delivery of goods, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of goods or for payment purposes.

The legal basis for the transfer of data is then Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our free newsletter, the data requested from you for this purpose, i.e., your email address and - optionally - your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website, as well as the date and time of your registration. As part of the further registration process, we will obtain your consent to send the newsletter, describe the content specifically, and refer to this privacy policy. The data collected in this process is used exclusively for sending the newsletter - therefore, it will not be passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. To do this, you only need to inform us of your revocation or use the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.

Contact Requests / Contact Options

If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing this data is necessary to process and respond to your inquiry - without it, we may not be able to respond to your request or only do so in a limited manner.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been conclusively answered and there are no legal retention obligations preventing deletion, such as those arising from any subsequent contract processing.

Online Job Applications / Publication of Job Advertisements

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us through our website. In these digital applications, your applicant and application data will be collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of handling the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we will store the data you provided during the application in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process – of course, while observing further legal obligations.

The legal basis for this processing is also § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR.

In the event of a rejection of an application, we will automatically delete the data transmitted to us two months after notification of the rejection. However, deletion will not occur if the data is required to be stored for a longer period due to legal provisions, for example, due to obligations to provide evidence under the AGG, requiring storage for up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings.

The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and § 24 para. 1 no. 2 BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defense or enforcement.

If you expressly consent to the longer storage of your data, for example, for inclusion in an applicant or interested party database, the data will be further processed based on your consent. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Of course, you can revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR by declaring it to us with effect for the future.

Linking Social Media via Graphics or Text Link

We also promote presences on the social networks listed below on our website. They are integrated via a linked graphic of the respective network. The use of these linked graphics prevents automatic establishment of a connection to the server of the respective social network when a website with social media promotion is accessed, in order to display a graphic of the respective network itself. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic will the user be redirected to the service of the respective social network.

After the user has been redirected, the respective network collects information about the user. It cannot be ruled out that the data collected in this way will be processed in the USA.

Initially, this includes data such as IP address, date, time, and visited page. If the user is logged into their user account of the respective network during this time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information about the specific visit of the user to the personal account of the user. If the user interacts via a "share" button of the respective network, this information can be stored in the user's personal user account and possibly published. If the user wishes to prevent the collected information from being directly associated with their user account, they must log out before clicking on the graphic. In addition, there is the option to configure the respective user account accordingly.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website and in the defense against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the "Enhanced Privacy Mode" function ensures that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to YouTube's server when you actually start a video.

Without this "Enhanced Privacy," a connection to YouTube's server in the USA is established as soon as you visit one of our web pages that embed a YouTube video.

This connection is necessary to display the respective video on our website through your internet browser. As a result, YouTube will at least collect and process your IP address, date and time of access, and the webpage you visited. Additionally, a connection to Google's advertising network "DoubleClick" is established.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube associates the connection information with your YouTube account. If you wish to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or adjust the relevant settings in your YouTube user account.

For functionality purposes and to analyze user behavior, YouTube stores cookies on your device through your internet browser.
